Chicago was definitely the highlight of my trip. It was a five-hour train ride from AA to Chicago. The ride was much more relaxing and comfortable than flying. If time is not an issue for you, I strongly recommend the train.
Our cute train conductor. His uniform reminded me of the conductor of the magic bus in Harry Potter.
Our hotel room. If you added up all the digits, you would get the lucky number. I was wondering if the effect would be the same as the room 1408 :P Thank God, it wasn't!
After Philadelphia and Detroit, I wasn't expecting much from Chicago, but it turned out to be a charming surprise in spite of the ever blowing wind.
Downtown Chicago has so many beautiful old buildings. They make the modern buildings beside them seem so plain. For some reason we made a wrong turn and missed the best spots for pictures.
There is always river/s running through all the beautiful cities around the world.
Chicago Institute of Art. We ended up spending half of a day there. Every city should have a museum like this. This is also the place Stewie visited, haha :D
Adam of Rodin
One of my favorite guys of all time. Please don't ask me who he is.
There is a debate about whether this was really done by Rembrandt, another one of my all time favorite guys. I bet my $5 it was!
One more all time favorite guys of mine (can you have so many favorites? of course you can!).
I just cannot get enough of Cézanne's apples.
I was shocked to find this painting here. I thought I had to go to Spain/Italy/Greece to see this one of El Greco's.
Same painting Stewie stared at, haaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Some guy thought he was prettier than Pablo's The Old Guitarist!!!
The trip was too short. I would love to go back to Chicago sometime in the summer and spend appropriate amount of time that this city truly deserves.
